After Carbonostics:
How to implement a sustainability strategy
Now that you've run one or more Carbonostics analyses and you've targeted hotspots in your supply chain, you will have an aggregated view of where the most significant impacts are across your entire operation in terms of carbon emissions, cost and nutrition.
You will have information to help you make more informed operational decisions. These decisions may very well free up resources that may be better allocated elsewhere along the production cycle or to the bottom line. What next?

Given the Carbonostics results, you may decide to guide your company as it moves further along its sustainability path. A typical post-Carbonostics internal process will be as follows:
- Begin internal discussion on resource allocation
- Educate team including executives, leaders and all employees on sustainability and how it can reduce costs, waste, and environmental impact, as well as provide a more stable financial future for the company
- Review business operations for gaps in sustainability efforts
- Explore the potential with collaborating with traditional adversaries, i.e. consumer and environmental advocates, union leaders, NGOs
- Consider developing a triple-bottom-line business strategy: (people, planet, profit)

Carbonostics is designed to be used in-house, without the need of external consultants.
In a post-Carbonostics process, however, you may decide to solicit advice from a sustainability or supply chain specialist.
